It is unimaginable to think that Jesus lives with anxiety and fear. So if Christians live in union with Jesus and share all the benefits that He experiences, why do so many of us live in the grip of anxiety? Our awareness and understanding of our union with Jesus can grow through the practice of contemplation, giving us the ability to live as free from fear as Jesus Himself.
We clench our treasures, anxiously attempting to protect those parts of our lives that mean so much to us. A clenched life is a tight life, one filled with fear and tension. God offers a life of freedom and peace when we surrender our treasures into His loving hands. As we open our hands and release our grip of control, we find that no matter what happens, God love is enough
The power of Christ is made perfect, not in our strength and abilities but in our limitations and weakness. In Christ, physical, emotional, financial, and relational weaknesses become opportunities to witness the miraculous power of God. For when we are weak, then we are strong. 2 Corinthians 12:10
